Hills AM is the name of the Otago Community Access Radio station which has existed since 1990. There are three full-time staff employed, and the rest of the work, including continuity voice breaks, is done by volunteers.
Hills AM exists to give the community of Otago accessibility to the airwaves. Any group or individual is welcome. Our aim is to get the community on air to have their own say, to broadcast in their own language and to play their own music.
This site can be navigated using the menu above, to surf to the respective pages. Be sure to check back often because this site is regularly updated.

Don't forget our great music format of Jazz, Blues and Soul, between our Community programmes!

The Albatross logo represents two important Otago icons:
-
The Albatross colony on the Otago Peninsula, the nearest colony to a city in the world. These magnificent birds swoop and wheel over the Otago harbour bringing joy to all who live in Dunedin.
-
The Dunedin Community House, where Hills AM is domiciled, has taken on the Albatross logo to symbolize all the charitable organisations which are situated there, under it's protective wing.
