Hills AM 1575 kHz is Otago's community access radio station, putting real people on air.

Hills AM has been around since 1990, and can be heard pretty much anywhere throughout Otago. We're a not-for-profit organisation run by a charitable trust, and we employ three full-time staff. Anyone else (including the voices you hear) is there for the love of it, or because they have something to say.

Along with all this, Hills plays great music! We play cool jazz, smoking blues, hot soul and the finest New Zealand music when there's no-one on air. And we never repeat ourselves! You'd be lucky to hear the same song twice in as many days, which makes a nice break (if we may say so) from the Top 40 on high-rotate...
